Happy Monday!
In short, there’s a lot going on this week, and a lot to look forward to in the weeks ahead!
But with that comes some wonky hours, including closing an hour earlier than usual on both Thursday and Friday so we can prepare for full-space evening events, and opening an hour early on Saturday to accommodate a smaller meetup.

Calling all aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage business owners! Passumpsic Bank and the Vermont Small Business Development Center are presenting the Small Business Incubator Program.
This series of four workshops covers: Business Planning and Marketing, Financial Literacy, Projections, Working Capital and Capital Access, Legal Structures, Licensing, Compliance and Insurance, Infrastructure, Agility, HR and Local Resources.
Monday is for Readers* Monday April 13, 6-8pm Quiet reading with other readers in the main space from 6-8pm on Mondays.
Barre Rivers Trivia Night, presented by Barre Rivers Collective, Friends of the Winooski & The Creative Discourse Group Tuesday April 14, 6-8pm Barre Rivers Trivia Night! Test your local knowledge of Barre's history, ecology, and rivers. Free event with pizza and a cash bar. Please RSVP here.
Movie Night, 10 Things I Hate About You* Wednesday April 15, 6pm Join us this week for the 1999 romantic comedy (and modernized adaptation of Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew) 10 Things I Hate About You, starring Julia Stiles, Heath Ledger, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gabrielle Union, Andrew Keegan and more.
Free for members, guest passes available. Popcorn, tea, coffee and water provided with other items available for purchase.

Events Thursday and Friday April 16-17, 5pm The full space will be in use for a private event Thursday evening, and a ticketed event Friday, so we will be closing at 5pm. Thank you for your understanding.
Private Event Friday April 17, 1-3pm The back room will be in use for a private gathering Friday beginning at 1pm. Members and visitors please prepare to use the front door during this time.
Celebration of Italian Music & Wine, with the Vermont Italian Cultural Association & Youth Opera Company of OCM Friday April 17, 5:30pm The Opera Company of Middlebury’s Youth Opera (YOC) will perform music from their upcoming performance, La Giornata, including selections from 24 Italian Songs & Arias, the repertoire book that has launched generations of opera singers.
Light bites included and cash bar available. This is a ticketed event, $10 per person at the door. RSVP here.
Retail Shop Sale Saturday April 18 As we move into the spring, changes are coming to the retail shop. With an eye towards adding a few new (and vintage) items for the warmer months, we’re holding our first true sale this Saturday. Stop by for discounts on Barre merch, perfume, home goods, and more - one day only!
Private Event Saturday April 18, 1-4pm The back room will be in use for a private gathering Saturday beginning at 1pm. Members and visitors please prepare to use the front door during this time.
Spring Fling at the Aldrich Public Library Saturday April 18, 6-8:30pm It’s not our event, but we hope to see you Saturday evening at the Aldrich Public Library for the annual Spring Fling fundraiser. Enjoy the food, live music and more for $45 per person, with every dollar going toward continuing the important work the library does in our community. Get tickets here.
