The Singer’s Room* Thursday April 2, 6pm

“The Singers Room returns for its second session on Thursday, April 2nd starting at 6:00. Once again, the intimate Barre Social Club (105 North Main Street in Barre) will host an evening where individual singers can stretch out artistically with a live accompanist — and where audiences can truly listen.

Held on the first Thursday of every month, The Singer’s Room is a laid-back cabaret that invites music lovers to enjoy good singing in a room that’s conducive to nuance, storytelling, and connection. Beer and wine will be available, and you can bring in something to eat from one of Barre’s great take-aways, like AR Market or Pearl Street Pizza just down the block. The April 2 program features a diverse lineup of local and regional performers: your hosts John Harrison and Maggie Fox, along with Paul Tagliamonte, Persis Worrall, and Madonna Gordon.

Admission is $5 at the door.

Whether you’re a singer eager to explore repertoire in a supportive setting or a listener who appreciates the craft of vocal performance up close, The Singer’s Room aims to create a welcoming home for expressive, high-quality singing in Central Vermont.”
